Abstract Introduction: Hospital is one of the important elements of modern public health. Specialized hospitals of special groups, including children, provide diagnostic, therapeutic and rehabilitation services to sick children. Children require extra care and supervision, specialized medications and equipment, and sometimes special treatment. Children are more susceptible to errors and injuries due to their growth pattern, dependence on others, different disease patterns and variable drug metabolism. Therefore, hospital design with optimal functional relations for physical improvement and at the same time paying attention to the form and psychological characteristics of the space is desired for mental improvement. Objective: In this study, by identifying the components and indicators of providing hospital services to children and adolescents, a checklist was designed for providing health and treatment services in hospitals with children's departments. Methods: The present study is a combined study that was conducted in 3 steps at Tabriz University of Medical Sciences in 1402. In the first step, the components of providing services to children in the world were identified by conducting a systematic review and using the PRISMA chart. In the second step, the opinions of 13 experts in the field of child health were examined using semi-structured interviews and analyzed in the MAXQDA2018 software. In the third step, the data from the previous two steps were combined. After that, in two Delphi stages, the obtained components were examined by experts in the field of child and adolescent health, and finally, a checklist for providing services to children and adolescents was prepared. Results: In the first step, 1092 articles and reports were identified through searching the databases, and the findings of 33 articles were examined by checking the Prisma guidelines at the end of the process. In the second step, 167 non-repetitive codes were obtained in the form of 9 themes and 29 sub-themes. After integrating the qualitative and systematic phase components, the Delphi phase was performed. During two Delphi rounds, the final checklist in support items (hospitalization time, psychological, nutritional, informational and out-of-hospital support), education and culture building (treatment staff, parents and children, general), indicators of improving employee performance Organization, parents' participation in care and treatment, friendly and safe environment design and management measures were categorized. Conclusion: Due to the fact that the designed checklist is a compilation of literature reviews and experts' opinions, it can provide a more comprehensive view of providing health and treatment services to children and adolescents in the hospital, and it has the ability to be implemented and is a ground for changing the attitude of child health managers To provide medical services in order to improve. By using this checklist and implementing the suggested policies, it is possible to help improve the health and quality of life of children and adolescents and guide the health and treatment system towards greater efficiency and effectiveness.
