چکیده
fat percentage (p=0.031), and body fat mass (p=0.012), and glycemic measures including FBS (p=0.027), fasting insulin (p=0.001), HbA1c (p=0.023), insulin resistance (p=0.041), and a significant increase in insulin sensitivity (p=0.029), after adjusting for potential cofounders, in comparison to the placebo group. Additionally, VEY supplementation had a statistically significant effect on MAPK gene expression level, compared to the placebo group (p=0.014). However, there were no significant changes in dietary intake, quality of life, and lipid profile of patients consuming VEY supplements, in comparison to the placebo group. Conclusions: According to the findings of the present study, VEY supplements could be used as an efficient dietary supplement for improving anthropometric and glycemic indices in obese T2DM patients. Keywords: Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus, Obesity, Insulin Resistance, Vanadium, Saccharomyces Cerevisiae
