چکیده
The ideal method for fixation of endotracheal tube is a method in which the endotracheal tube has the least amount of movement, causes the least damage to the patient's airways and spends at least some time for stabilization. Ease of use and cost-effectiveness in terms of economics and time are also other effective parameters in choosing the method of fixing the endotracheal tube. Endotracheal fixation procedures usually involve the use of simple bandages, adhesives, and mechanical retainers (holders). In the present study, the comparison of the ease of fixing the endotracheal tube using a simple band and holder in patients under mechanical ventilation in 1400 was investigated. Methods: In this comparative descriptive study, two groups of emergency hospitalized patients with intubation were randomly selected. The endotracheal tube holder group (n = 51), in which the holder was used to fix the endotracheal tube, and the band group (n = 50), which consisted of a routine cotton bandage used in hospitals, to fix the endotracheal tube. Chip was used. Finally, the level of staff satisfaction, the amount of holder and band used for each patient during a day, the number of diagnostic tests used for patients and demographic characteristics were assessed using a researcher-made checklist. Results: There was no significant difference between the two groups in terms of mean and age standard deviation. The mean and standard deviation of intubation fixation time in seconds was 33.50 ۶ 6.25 in the group of patients and 27.55 ۹ 3.92 in the group of patients with holder, which was statistically significant between the two groups. There was no statistically significant difference between the two groups in the mean and standard deviation of the duration of emergency hospitalization in terms of hours, mean and standard deviation of GCS, intubation methods, endotracheal tube type. In the study of the two groups in terms of the number of bands used in a day, there was a statistically significant difference between the two groups, so that in the band group was more than the holder group. In the study of the two groups in terms of unwanted extubation, the cause of intubation was not statistically significant between the two groups. In the study of the two groups in terms of staff satisfaction in terms of fixation with the band, there was a statistically significant difference between the two groups so that the satisfaction of the holder was higher than the band.
