Abstract
This study aims to investigate the effect of drug type in this group of patients and evaluate the effect of two groups of hypoglycemic on the process and outcome of diabetic patients. Methods: In this study, which is a retrospective descriptive analytical study, all diabetic patients who have suffered an acute stroke and referred to the emergency department of Imam Reza (AS) Hospital in 2017 are included in the study. The sample size will be numbered and based on the Stroke registry documentation. Patients under the age of 18 who are on combination therapy with drugs and insulin, or who have left the hospital before completing their treatment and have an incomplete record are excluded from the study. The data obtained in the present study were analyzed using IBM SPSS statistics v.20.0 statistical analysis software. Demographic information of patients was analyzed by descriptive statistical methods and the results were presented as mean مع standard deviation and frequency (percentage). Quantitative findings were compared by non-independent t-test and qualitative findings by Chi-Square test. The p-value value was considered less than 0.05 to establish a statistically significant relationship. Results: Out of 896 patients admitted during 1396 with a stroke complaint in the stroke care unit, 191 patients were diagnosed with diabetes mellitus. The mean age of patients (67.70-67.84) was 69.34 /10 10.56 years and the mean age was 71 years. Of these patients, 99 (51.8%) were male and 92 (48.2%) were female. CT scan findings performed in the emergency department had about 30% hemorrhagic findings There is a significant relationship between the type of diabetes treatment and patients' creatinine and it is relatively strong and inverse. (Pv <0.001) (Corelation Coefficient = - 0.715) There is a significant relationship between the type of diabetes treatment and the age of patients and there is a weak relationship. (Pv <0.001) (Correlation Coefficient = 0.296) There is a significant relationship between the type of diabetes treatment and CT scan of patients' brains and there is a weak relationship. (Pv = 0.031) (Corelation Coefficient = 0.156)
