Determination of TMPO-AS1 Non-coding RNA Expression and its Relation to Clinical Pathological Findings in Breast Cancer Tumor Specimens
چکیده
The purpose of this study is investigating the involvement of thymopoietin (TMPO)-antisense RNA 1 (TMPO-AS1) in breast cancer.
Methods: Tumor tissues and adjacent normal tissues were collected from 60 patients with breast cancer. The expression levels of TMPO-AS1 in tissue samples were measured using quantitative real-time PCR (qRT-PCR) technique. In addition, clinicopathological characteristics of the breast cancer patients were also analyzed.
Results: We found higher expression levels of TMPO-AS1 in breast cancer tumor tissues in comparison to adjacent healthy tissues (P<0.05). Moreover, there was a strong correlation between the expression level of TMPO-AS1 and clinicopathological features of the patients.
