Treatment of Pilonidal Sinus By Fistoloscopy

Abstract

So far no studies have investigated fistuloscopy for treatment of pilonidal sinus. The aim of our study was to evaluate the treatment and recurrence rate of this disease, using new methods to reduce the duration of surgery, hospitalization, complications after surgery, etc. Methods: In this descriptive cross-sectional study, 63 patients were studied using available census and sampling method. Patients undergoing pilonidal sinus surgery were treated by fistuloscope at Imam Reza Hospital in Tabriz. The complications and treatment outcomes were recorded in the relevant instrument.
