Comparison the effects of remifentanil combined with atropine with fentanyl and remifentanil alone on vital signs in non-emergent intra-tracheal intubation in preterm neonates
چکیده
This study was designed to investigate the effect of fentanyl, remifentanil and atropine in combination with remifentanil on vital signs in non-emergency endotracheal intubation in preterm neonates and thus the ideal combination.
Materials and Methods: Seventy five neonates aged 27 to 34 weeks in need of temporary intubation included in the clinical trial study were divided in Fentanyl, Remifentanil and Atropine plus Remifentanil groups by computer based randomization. Vitality parameters were examined in non-emergency endotracheal intubation.
Results: There was no statistically significant difference in systemic blood pressure and heart rate changes in the study groups (p=0.672 and p=0.086, respectively), but the mean oxygen saturation measured at different times significantly differs among three groups (p=0.036) and 30 minutes after extubation, the oxygen saturation was significantly higher in the remifentanil plus atropine treated group than the other groups.
