Evaluation of psychometric properties (validity and reliability) of the Persian version of the motivated strategies for learning and determination of pharmacy students' learning motivation at Tabriz School of Pharmacy in 2020

چکیده
Introdution: The influence of motivational processes on cognitive and metacognitive function of students is so important and reminds that learning isn’t related only to innate intelligence. With the factors such as Motivated Strategies and Learning Strategies and invention of methods to learn it for learners, could help for educational system's determiners in order to make decision accurately. Objective: Evaluation of validity and reliability of the Persian version of the MSLQ and determination of pharmacy students' learning motivation at Tabriz in 2020. Methods: In this exploratory study, firstly the permission for translation questionnaire into Persian language has obtained through email for authors of original questionnaire. The validity of content was computed with the Content Validity Rate and the Content Validity Index. The face validity of questionnaire was checked by Impact Score. The reliability of questionnaire was determined by test-retest method and calculated of calculation of Cronbach’s alpha and Intraclass Correlation Coefficient (ICC). Following determination of validity and reliability, the questionnaire was provided through Google Docs and completed in class group channel. The learning motivation level of 40 pharmacy students of Tabriz Faculty who passed Pharmacology-1 course was reviewed in 1399 years. Results: The Content Validity Ratio and the Content Validity index and Impact Score of Questionnaire for Evaluation of Motivated Strategies for Learning were obtained as 0.85, 0.84 and 4.55 respectively. The cronbach’s alpha and intraclass correlation coefficient (ICC) with confidence interval on 95 percent were obtained as 0.702 and 0.701 respectively. And final result of survey was obtained average of 45.75 with faintly good motivational conditions of students in given course. Disccussion and Conclusion: This valid and reliable questionnaire could be utilized to evaluate motivational strategies of medical sciences students in learning of total courses and reviewed the impact of educational interventions to improve motivational strategies of students.
