Spiritual Coping Strategies and their Relationship with Illness Adjustment among Iranian Breast Cancer Parent's.

Abstract: Introduction: Despite the results of studies on the positive effects of spiritual practice on health, studies on the relationship between spiritual coping and adaptation is different in patients with cancers. This study aimed to investigate the relationship between spiritual coping and adjustment in patients with breast cancer who referred to health centers of Tabriz.
Methods: The study was Correlational descriptive that 266 breast cancer patients were recruited by convenience sampling. For data collection used from Iran's spiritual coping to standardized questionaires and Iran's cope to standardized questionaires. To determine the relationship between spiritual coping and coping with the disease correlation matrix was used for statistical analysis.
Result: There was a significant positive correlation between spiritual coping and adjustment (r=0/68 , p=0/00). The results of this test in conjunction with the relationship between spiritual coping strategies with subscales Approach-cognitive strategy (r=0/58 , p=0/00) and subscales Approach- behavioral strategy (r=0/48 , p=0/00) and subscales Approach- emotional strategy (r=0/78 , p=0/00) is the statistically significant.Conclusion: Spiritual coping improves cope with the disease in patients with breast cancer.
