dc.description.abstractIntroduction: Diabetes mellitus is one of the most common metabolic diseases that can lead to debilitating complications. Control of this disease requires the adoption of appropriate health and lifestyle changes. Studies have shown an increase in the incidence of diabetes in Tabriz. The aim of this study was to determine the status of health-seeking behaviors in patients with type 2 diabetes. Materials and Methods: This study was a descriptive and cross-sectional study. The statistical population of this study is patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus in the city of Tabriz. The research environment included public hospitals, health centers, doctors 'clinics, Tabriz University of Medical Sciences clinics, 1139 samples using experts' opinions of this area. Selected centers were collected. Patients' response was assessed by a researcher-made questionnaire. Conclusion: 66.3% of patients were female. The age group 51 to 60 years old had the highest incidence. Most of the subjects were illiterate 41.5%. The most important source of information for controlling this disease was the order of the physician with 65.7% of the cases. Providing educational guidance in medical centers to increase the level of knowledge of patients from diabetes in controlling and managing diabetes and providing financial packages and allocating more funds for the disease to reduce the cost of it for patients is necessary.en_US
