dc.description.abstract | Abstract:
Introduction : Today mental health is very important because it is di-rectly related to individual and social performance and psychosocial harm Improving mental health requires the existence of an information system, the deployment of effective networks for data collection and mental health indicators.
Objectives: The purpose of this study is the status of situation of in-dicators of mental health and mental health information system in the primary health care and presenting a model for development of ap-propriate and up-to-date indicators in the primary health care .So with its implementation provide Collecting appropriate indexes and in-formation for managerial and therapeutic decision
Materials and Methods : This research is a descriptive-practical study that was carried out in the second half of the year 1395 in East Azarbayjan Province. At first, reviewing the literature for identifying the "Mental Health Information System" and "Mental Health Indices in the Primary Health Care System and Mental Health Performance Indicators" Then, using a checklist and interview, the current status of mental health information system and its indicators were investigated in the health center of East Azarbaijan Province. Then, using a ques-tionnaire and two rounds of the Delphi method and the panel of ex-perts, which consisted of 7 people, were indicators of mental health information system identification It was presented in the form of a model.
Findings : A total of 54 management and performance indicators of mental health were selected in the primary care system. Of these, 36 indicators were accepted in the panel of experts, which were catego-rized into four main categories of context, input, process, and perfor-mance, and output and outcome
Conclusion : This research has identified the current state of the Men-tal Health Information System (MIS) and provided appropriate indica-tors and information modules for planning and appropriate decision making for managers to provide mental health services in the primary health care system.
