چکیده
The aim of this study was the assessment of serum levels of uromodulin and its association with allograft function and risk of urinary infection in kidney transplant recipients. Materials and Methods: During this cross-sectional study 90 eligible kidney transplant recipients were evaluated in post-transplant phase (about 6-12 months after the KT). Fasting Blood samples were taken to determine serum levels of serum uromodulin, urea, creatinine and some other biochemical characteristics of participants. Results: Serum levels of uromodulin had significant correlations with serum creatinine (P=0.024) and eGFR–EPI (P= 0.038) in our KTRs. The correlation coefficients of uromodulin with these parameters are about 0.2, which indicates a weak but significant relationship. uUMOD had no statistically significant relation with serum levels of urea, UTIs, BMI and any other parameters (p>0.05).
