چکیده
Background: Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting (CABG) is an operation with lots of complications and costs. So, it is seriously important to choose the method with better perfusion during operation. Then, it needs more research about CABG surgery and its complications, in order to choose the appropriate method. Objective: The purpose of this study was evaluation of oxygen and lactate levels of pulmonary and radial arteries in patients under CABG operation by on-pump and off-pump techniques in Shahid Madani hospital of Tabriz during 2017-2018. Methods and Materials: Our study as a prospective cross-sectional study, was done during 8 months. The demographic data, medical and drug history, addiction, lactate and oxygen levels in radial and pulmonary arteries (before, during and after surgery) was documented in the questionnaire. Results: In the current work, 104 patients under CABG surgery were studied (53 patients under off-pump CABG, 51 patients under on-pump CABG). Lactate level in all 5 blood samples was higher in on-pump CABG group. In addition, oxygen levels decreased more (even less than the normal level) in on-pump CABG group. Although, there was no significant statistical differences in hemodynamic data between the two groups (p>0.05), hemodynamic of patients under off-pump CABG is a bit more stable than the other group. Conclusion: The results of this study demonstrated that lactate and oxygen levels remain in the normal range in patients under off-pump CABG. In this regard, both statistical and clinical differences between the two groups are significant. Finally, it seems that off-pump CABG method would be the choice for CABG surgeries, according to lactate and oxygen levels.
