سطح سرمی اینترلوکین 6دربیماران با اسکواموس سل کارسینومای حفره دهان

Introduction: The clinical outcome of patients with head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSCC) remains unaffected despite recent therapeutic advances. Many reliable and clinically useful biomarkers has been known for aggressive tumors. Interleukin 6 is a multi-functional cytokine that is important role in the cell differentiation process. It can be increased in various malignancies. The aim of this study was to compare serum levels of interleukin-6 in patients with oral squamous cell carcinoma with normal subjects. Methods: In analytical descriptive study, 20 patients with oral squamous cell carcinoma were compared with 20 healthy persons. Two groups and matched according to sex and age. Serum IL-6 was determined by immunological techniques and their relationship with age, sex and smoking status, and disease severity was assessed. Results: 20 patients with oral squamous cell carcinoma with mean age of 64.114 years and 20 healthy volunteers with a mean age of 64.714 years, participated in this study. There were no significant differences in age and sex. Average concentrations of interleukin-6 in patients 5.8 pg/ml and in healthy subjects 0.2 pg/ml is that there was significant difference(p<0.001).There were 4 patients with history of smoking. Lymph node involvement was found in 8 patients. Age, sex and smoking status was not correlated with serum interleukin-6. Also the tumor spread and lymph node involvement was not observed correlation with serum IL-6. Measurement of serum levels of interleukin-6 had high sensitivity near to 95% in patients with oral cavity squamous cell carcinoma,
هدف از این مطالعه مقایسه سطح سرمی اینترلوکین 6 در بیماران مبتلا به کارسینوم اسکواموس سل دهانی با افراد سالم است. روش کار: در یک مطالعه مورد شاهدی، 20 بیمار با کارسینوم اسکواموس سل دهانی با 20 فرد سالم مقایسه شدند. هر دو گروه از نظر سن و جنس با هم همسان شده بودند. سطح سرمی اینترلوکین 6 با تکنیک ایمونولوژیکی تعیین شد و ارتباط آن با سن، جنس و مصرف سیگار و شدت بیماری مورد ارزیابی قرار گرفت.نتایج: 20 بیمار مبتلا به کارسینوم اسکواموس سل با میانگین سنی 141/64 سال با 20 فرد سالم با میانگین سنی 147/64 سال در این مطالعه شرکت داشتند. از نظر سن و جنس تفاوت آماری معنی داری وجود نداشت. میانگین غلظت اینترلوکین 6 در گروه بیماران pg/ml 8/5 و در گروه افراد سالم pg/ml 2/0 بوده است که تفاوت آماری معنی داری وجود داشت(001/0 >p). شرح حال مصرف سیگار در 4 بیمار وجود داشت. در گیری لنف نود در 8 بیمار مثبت بود. بین سن ، جنس و مصرف سیگار با سطح سرمی اینترلوکین 6 ارتباطی وجود نداشت. همچنین بین میزان گسترش تومور و درگیری لنف نود ها با سطح سرمی اینترلوکین 6 ارتباطی مشاهده نگردید. اندازه گیری سطح سرمی اینترلوکین 6 در بیماران مبتلا به کارسینوم اسکواموس سل حفره دهانی دارای حساسیت بالایی نزدیک به 95% بود.
