| dc.description.abstract | Cone beam computed tomography use for orthodontic treatment , insert of implant, Evaluation of TMJ . The aim of this study was to evaluation of the knowledge of general dentists of Tabriz about indications , benefits and limitations of cone beam computed tomography in 2010. Material and Methods: This descriptive cross- sectional study was done on 200 general dentists who had private offices in Tabriz in 2010. A questionnaire regarding CBCT was prepared . The questionnaires were delivered to dentists at their offices and then gathered . The data were analyzed via SPSS software by student s test, spearman correlation coefficients. Results: There were 200 dentists (114 male and 36 female) with the mean age of 40.74 years. The mean score of knowledge about implication , limitation and advantage were 34.69, 12.57& 9 respectively. There was positive Correlation between implication of CBCT with limitation and advantage of CBCT There was no significant difference between age with implication , limitation and advantage of CBCT. Conclusion: Knowledge of dentists in Tabriz about CBCT was moderate. So application of strategies to increase the knowledge of dentists regarding CBCT is necessary. | |
