Considering the vital role of internship courses and the importance of managing and monitoring this course, the use of application technology to electronicize manual processes and remote management of this course can be effective in improving the management processes of internship courses. Aim: Considering the importance of the topic, the aim of the present research is to develop a mobile application for the management of internship units in the field of health information technology. Methods: The present study has been carried out in the form of three objectives, firstly the needs of the internship course in the field of health information technology in the form of four stages of review of available reliable scientific sources, examination of the plan of undergraduate courses in health information technology and the topics related to each course, holding focus group meetings for Collecting the opinions of professors, internship officials (in charge of the hospital's health information management unit) and health information technology students regarding the needs of the internship, determining and preparing the initial content of the application program. An initial content prepared after obtaining the opinion of experts was finalized. After determining the manner and form of presenting the final content in the application, this program was developed. Finally, the developed application was evaluated with the participation of a number of users of internship courses in the current semester. Results: The results of the study were presented in the form of a mobile application product, which includes three modules before the internship, during the internship and after the internship. The results of the initial evaluation of the application indicated average user satisfaction based on the user experience. According to the initial results obtained from the use of the application, it seems that this program can help in the management of the internship period and its supervision. Conclusion: The findings showed that internship management applications can improve the management of internship processes by establishing more effective communication between users.
