Construction of absorbent filter pollutants in secondhand smoke from cigarettes through the synthesis of nano-composites based on cellulose acetate containing montmorillonite nanoparticles by electrospinning cellulose acetate solution directly to install on a ventilation system

Abstract
Summary: Today, the problems caused by smoking are quite clear to all people of the world. Although tobacco deaths rarely make headlines, tobacco kills one person every six seconds. This project was used with the aim of using nanotechnology to reduce air pollution and absorb cigarette pollutants. Nanofibers consisting of cellulose acetate (CA) and montmorillonite (MMT) were prepared using electrospinning method. In electrospinning, cellulose acetate solution with acetic acid solvent and fibrous water was not formed. Cellulose acetate and cellulose acetate / montmorillonite electrospinning were first used successfully using distilled water solvent, acetic acid, dichloromethane and methanol. The fiber diameters of 11 nanofiber samples from electrospinning were in the range of 80 ~ 550 nm. Morphology, crystalline properties and functional groups of composite nanofibers were determined by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), energy scattering X-ray spectroscopy (EDAX) and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR). According to the fiber diameter of the filters and other characteristics of the filters produced, the composite nanofilter with a concentration of cellulose acetate of 9% by weight and a concentration of 1% of montmorillonite was selected as the most suitable filter to study the adsorption of contaminants. To measure the heavy metals cadmium (Cd), chromium (Cr), nickel (Ni), lead (Pb) in cigarettes and to measure the absorption of these materials by the production filter, after acidic digestion of the samples, from the atomic absorption spectroscopy of the graphite furnace (AAS) was used. The built-in filter showed a significant ability to remove heavy metals. Mass spectroscopic gas chromatography (GC / MS) was used to determine the content of organic compounds in the main cigarette smoke and to evaluate the uptake of pollutants by nanofilter. Studies have shown that benzene, dicarboxylic benzene, xylene, phenol, 1-methyl 2-pyridine, ethanol, nicotine, silane, oleic acid, cyclobutane, phytol cyclohexane, methane amine, di benzo, and tetramethylhexa are adsorbed by the filter.
