چکیده
Colorectal cancer (CRC) is one of the most important causes of death in the world. PD-L1 is related to the clinical and pathological features of cancer and affects prognosis of these patients. relationship between PD-L1 expression and the clinicopathological features of colorectal cancer and the independent effects of PD-L1 expression in the prognosis of this disease are not completely clear. purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between this protein and the survival rate in patients with colorectal carcinoma. Method: A total of 80 patients with colorectal cancer were included in the study. Patients' information was obtained based on a pre-prepared checklist. Then PD-L1 was determined by IHC method for all patients. Finally, the findings of patients in two groups were compared. Results: 80 patients with an average age of 58.1 years were included in the study, 60 patients were PD-L1 negative and 20 patients were PD-L1 positive. Among patients with negative PD-L1, 33 patients (55%) were male, and among patients with positive PD-L1, 8 patients (40%) were male (p=0.245). only finding related to malignancy in patients that was significantly different between PD-L1 negative and positive groups was having metastasis among patients (P=0.024). There was no significant difference in terms of survival between PD-L1 negative and positive patients based on Kaplan-Meier chart. COX-Regression was used to further investigate the factors related to the risk of death in the studied patients. None of the variables, including age at diagnosis, patient gender, metastasis, disease stage, PD-L1 positivity, and CEA were statistically significant.
