Abstract
Lupus is a chronic inflammatory autoimmune disease with a wide range of clinical manifestations, characterized by the involvement of multiple body systems. In Iranian society, SLE is more common in women (about 9 times more than men) and is diagnosed mostly between 15 and 44 years of age. Smoking, alcohol consumption, metals, air pollution, obesity, poor diet, infections (such as EBV, CMV), pesticides, and silica are environmental risks associated with SLE. Materials and methods: In this study, 35 patients with systemic lupus erythematosus, whose disease subtype was determined by a specialist doctor, and 40 healthy individuals were invited as controls, and after explaining the study and obtaining informed consent, peripheral blood sampling was performed .The expected sample size of the research was calculated using Cochran's formula. Results: The results of this study showed the role of MiR-301 as a suppressor in the lupus of lupus patients, where it is associated with a decrease in the expression of E-CADHERIN in lupus cells in vitro.
