Social support and its relationship with internal motivation and job enthusiasmin emergency medical personnel of East Azarbaijan province in 2022

Abstract
Background: Emergency medical personnel are at a higher risk of occupational injuries because of the high work pressure, fatigue and tension in their work environment. Social support is one of the most effective ways by which people can adapt to problems and cope with stressful events. The job enthusiasm of personnel is one of the factors that leads to effective communication with the job, spending more energy, creativity and reducing errors and accidents in the job. On the other hand, based on the evidence, in the absence of other work resources, only the presence of employees with high internal motivation has made it possible to achieve organizational goals. Therefore, this research was conducted with the aim of investigating the relationship between social support and internal motivation and job enthusiasm among emergency medical personnel working in the emergency and accident center of East Azarbaijan province in 2022.
Implementation method: The current research is a cross-sectional correlational descriptive study that was conducted on 300 emergency medical personnel in East Azarbaijan province in 2022. The random sampling method was simple. Data collection was done by using a 4-part questionnaire, including the personal social profile of the participants, Shoufeli's job enthusiasm questionnaire, Zammit's social support questionnaire, and Hill's internal motivation questionnaire.
Results: The results of the study showed that the level of job enthusiasmand social support and the inner motivation of medical emergency personnel were moderate. The results also showed that there was a positive and significant statistical relationship between job passion and social support in emergency medical emergency personnel (R=0/306, p<0/05). But there was no positive and significant statistical communication between the inner motivation and the amount of social support in the emergency medical emergency personnel (R =0/011, p>0/05). There was also a significant statistical relationship between social support and job enthusiasm (R =0/39, p<0/05).
Conclusion: According to the obtained results, it was found that internal motivation and social support have a direct effect on job enthusiasm, and managers of emergency organizations, knowing the effective role of social support and internal motivation, can improve work enthusiasm in provide personnel and help them to create a motivating work environment, increase the enthusiasm for work and ultimately increase the productivity and efficiency of the organization.
