Survey the status of management, health and safety of executive agents of urban and rural waste in Germi county

Abstract
Introduction: The rapid increase in population and the human tendency to increase the consumption of materials and as a result the excessive increase in waste production have caused health, environmental and economic concerns related to improper waste management for countries. Therefore, the present study was carried out with the aim of investigating the management, health and safety status of urban and rural waste management in Garami city. Methods and Materials: This research is an applied study in terms of its nature and a descriptive study in terms of its type. The statistical population of this study included two groups of health house residents and workers working in the investigated areas, out of 33 villages with a health house with a population of more than 500 people, out of 33 residents and 33 residents, using Morgan's table, 28 residents and 28 residents were selected by random sampling. and out of 20 urban workers and 100 rural workers, 19 urban sweepers and 80 rural sweepers were selected as samples using Morgan's table. Also, the third part included the officials of the municipal waste management unit of Angot city and Garami city, whose number was 2, and both of them participated in the study. The research tools included the health and safety checklist of sweepers in the study of Mashasha'i et al. (2016) and the urban and rural waste management checklist of Ghanbari Qozikli et al. Analysis was done using Excel 2010 and SPSS 23 software Findings: In the urban waste management department, the storage situation with an average of 0.53% is good, 52.5% and the transfer and processing station, processing and recycling with 100% unfavorable, respectively, have a relatively good and very bad management situation. In the rural waste management department, the overall situation of rural waste management with an average of 51 96.0, 96.0% was reported as unfavorable. Regarding the health and safety status of urban and rural waste management executives, in the section of indicators related to safety, rural workers were higher than urban workers with the number of 88 accidents that occurred during one year, and the coefficients related to Incident recurrence, accident severity, and accident recurrence-severity index in urban workers were 0.74, 1.98, and 0.04, respectively, more suitable than rural workers. Workers' health indicators in the personal protection section of urban workers with 13% favorability than rural workers, in the section related to the health of employees, rural workers with 17% favorability, more suitable than urban workers, and in unsafe practices during waste collection and transportation operations, rural workers also with 43% favorability. They had a better condition than urban workers. Conclusion: According to the status of urban and rural waste management and the status of health and safety indicators of the executive factors of waste management, the implementation of a comprehensive waste management program in the urban sector, special attention to the rural waste management sector, with the priority of providing funds for the completion of rural waste management programs and preparation And it is recommended to equip personal protective equipment with appropriate training and information for executive agents of urban and rural waste management.
