Abstract Examining the knowledge and attitude of nurses towards the nursing process in the emergency department of educational and treatment centers of Tabriz University of Medical Sciences in 2021 Background and aim: The dynamic, complex and advanced conditions governing the nursing work environment of the emergency department together with the uncertain and changing condition of the patients require that they are competent decision makers and can make accurate and appropriate clinical judgments about the health status of the patients and solve the problems of the patients in the field. nurses recognize and solve that it seems that having a positive attitude towards the nursing process can enable its implementation in complex emergency conditions, the knowledge and attitude of nurses is one of the main factors in the application of the nursing process and its implementation in patient care Also, the knowledge and attitude of nurses about the principles of the nursing process and especially the examination of health status has improved the quality of care, so this study was designed with the aim of investigating the knowledge and attitude of nurses regarding the nursing process in the emergency departments of Tabriz University of Medical Sciences Method: This is a descriptive research that was conducted with the aim of investigating the knowledge and attitude of nurses towards the implementation of the nursing process in the emergency departments of the educational and treatment centers of Tabriz University of Medical Sciences. In this study, all the nurses working in the emergency departments of educational and medical centers of Tabriz University of Medical Sciences, which include 263 people, participated in the study based on the inclusion criteria. Finally, the data was analyzed using SPSS/v22. Results: The results show that mean score of attitude is equal to 50.33 and the mean score of knowledge is equal to 24.19, which according to the moderate obtained for the mean score of attitude from the range of 20-100 and knowledge between 9 and 45, it can be said that attitude and knowledge Both nurses are in the middle range. Also, the results show that there was a statistically significant relationship between the age of nurses with knowledge (r=0.149, p=0.016) and the experience of nurses with knowledge (r=0.147, p=0.018). Conclusion: Therefore, according to the findings of this study, it can be concluded that the level of knowledge and attitude of nurses about the nursing process and its application is not sufficient and appropriate interventions should be done in this field.
