Abstract
Covid-19 pneumonia is caused by a beta-coronavirus called acute chronic respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2. Until now, there have not been enough studies on paraclinical and demographic findings in the country. The aim of the present study was to investigate these factors in oncology patients hospitalized due to covid-19 in Imam Reza Hospital, Tabriz. Method: In this study, the number of 107 patients infected with Covid-19 in the last 1 year in Tabriz, who were admitted to Imam Reza Hospital in Tabriz and were registered under the title of Oncology and Covid, were included in the study. Patient information, including disease symptoms and vital signs, including breathing rate and heart rate, were collected and recorded from the biographies obtained and entered in the file. Relevant information was extracted and recorded from the hospitalization files of patients who were hospitalized in Imam Reza Hospital in the last 1 year. Results: The findings showed that there was no significant difference between the deaths of covid patients and oncology patients in terms of covid-19 related deaths and cancers. Although the risk of mortality was higher in non-hematological cancers. The present study showed that the incidence of covid-19 symptoms as well as the mortality rate due to covid-19 in oncology patients is higher than other people in the society.
