Abstract
Considering the above and considering that EP is one of the conditions that should be diagnosed immediately and treated, and also considering the methods that exist to date to diagnose these conditions They have false positive and negative results. The aim of this study was to determine the relationship between uterine artery resistance and serum BhCG level in adnexal EP. Materials and Methods: In this study, 100 female patients with the main complaint of lower abdominal pain and vaginal bleeding with beta-hCG-positive serum who underwent vaginal ultrasound with ultrasound device (Samsung Madison WS80) for 24 hours and the presence of EP was accepted. they started studying. Then, based on the involved side of patients, one side was considered as the side with EP (case group) and the other side without EP (control group). Gestational age in patients was calculated using LMP. In all patients, serum beta-hCG level was quantitatively measured by ELISA method and Elisa reader model statfax 2100 in the laboratory of Al-Zahra Hospital in Tabriz. Then vascular Doppler ultrasound was performed to evaluate the resistance of uterine arteries. Finally, patients with adnexal EP were recorded for the need for surgical intervention and complications, and uterine artery resistance was compared in the above cases. Results: Patients with an average age of 32.29 years and a 10% history of the previous EP were examined. The mean serum level of BHCG at the beginning of treatment was 2063.25 mIU/mL. There is a significant and negative correlation between the values of RI, PI, and S/D Ratio with the changes in BHCG serum level, so that with the increase of BHCG serum level, the value of RI (rp=-0.336; p=0.001), PI (229 (rp=0.022; p=0.022) and S/D Ratio (rp=0.362; p=0.001) (uterine artery resistance) decreases. In the comparison of the two-sided Doppler indices, it was observed that the average values of RI (0.84 ± 0.10 vs. 0.85 ± 0.10; p=0.006), PI (0.98 ± 0.75) were significantly vs. 2.55 ± 1.15; p=0.017) and S/D Ratio (8.81 ± 3.23 vs. 10.72 ± 6.34; p=0.042) on the affected side of EP lower than It is the healthy side of patients. All patients had successful treatment and no case of mortality was observed.
