Investigating the causes of tramadol use and assessing the possibility of suicide with SAD PERSON scale

Abstract
One of the worrisome issues in today's era is the development of social harms, especially narcotics and psychoactive substances, which have rapidly invaded educational centers such as "schools and universities" and become one of the challenges facing the trustees and those involved in education. And the education of our country and even the world has changed. In this study, the aim is to investigate the cause and demographics of tramadol consuming patients who refer to the emergency room in order to simultaneously assess the amount of dosage used and its cause and the potential of suicide of the patients. Research materials and methods: This study will start working after being approved by the research committee of the Faculty of Medical Sciences of Tabriz University and obtaining permission from the ethics committee of that university. 80 patients who came to the emergency room of Sinai Hospital with a complaint of tramadol consumption were randomly included in the study. The variables of age, sex, reason for use, dosage and time of use, possible side effects of the drug, SAD PERSON score of the patient were recorded for each patient. After collecting data, they were entered into SPSS software. In all tests, a significance level of 0.05 was considered. Results: In the present study, the average age of the participants was 25.36 ± 6.81 years. 66.25% of the participants were male and the average score of SAD person was 6.85 ± 2.37. The most common reasons for taking tramadol were to get pleasure (40%), depression (33.75%) and improve sex (27.5%), myalgia and physical pain (23.75%), respectively. The most common adverse effects of tramadol were dizziness (60%), nausea (55%), convulsions (31.25%), drowsiness (17.5%), and the average dose was 912.96 ± 245.16 mg. Was.
