Abstract
Arthritis is a common disease in societies, which is a kind of chronic disorder, and it's related symptoms include pain and stiffness. This disease has many variations. However, most patients present with joint pain and functional limitations. Control and treatment solutions for this disorder include pharmacological and non-pharmacological measures. In the early stages (mild osteoarthritis), non-surgical treatment methods can be used, such as: weight loss, painkillers (such as acetaminophen or non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs), physiotherapy, and changing living conditions. If the above methods fail to solve the patient's problem, we turn to intra-articular injection products. Aim:The purpose of this study is the formulation of ampoules ready for intra-articular injection of hyaluronic acid, which, due to the lack of this formulation in the country, will provide employment for young people and also prevent foreign exchange. method:In the present study, the formulation of the intra-articular hyaluronic acid ampoule is implemented using HA dry powder, in such a way that the hyaluronic acid is spread in the PBS environment and after some time stirring on the hot plate, we prepare the hyaluronic acid gel, then the gel is inserted We obtain sterile glass syringes and finally examine the physico-chemical properties. The meaning of physico-chemical properties is to check the viscosity and swelling test for each formulation during six months. Results: This study showed that the formulation of 20 mg of hyaluronic acid has a suitable stability during the 6-month period, and also the formulation of 10 mg of this product could not maintain its stability in the tests of the sixth month. Discuss:Due to the application of this product inside the joint, it is necessary to know the volume of the product after injection and the physician to understand the amount of the injected product. For this purpose, we perform the Solesang test.
