Investigation of the perspective of personal and service recipients about women's presence in the pre-hospital emergency

Introduction: It is recently decided that female staff have been present in pre-hospital emergencies in Iran. hence It is necessary to examine the views of stake holders regarding this decision to improve the situation. The aim of this study was to investigate the perspective of personal and service recipients abaut womens presence in the pre- hospital emergency operation.
Method: This research was a descriptive study. The statistical population of the research was the employees working in the pre hospital emergency system of East Azarbaijan province, as well as citizens who have used the emergency services of 115.Sampling was by stratified random method, 326 employees 456 service recipients were included in the study. The validity and reliability of the researcher's tool was and then collected data were analyzed with SPSS version 26 using descriptive analytical and regression tests.
Results: according to the findings, the acceptance of both personel and about the presence of womens in prehospital emergency system clinets wer hiegh, however they saw the current facilites as not enough.ln addition following items were declared as the most important expectations of the employees and service recipients from the role of women in the pre-hospital emergency system: having a strong spirit, crisis management in difficult and heartbreaking situations, covering gender differences, being in harmony with cultural, religious and social principles.
Conclusion: Based on the findings, it can be concluded that both the investigated groups, including staff and service recipients, considered the presence of women in the pre-hospital emergency as necessary. Also, special facilities should be provided from the point of view of service and staff recipients. Despite that, there are limitations that must be implemented for their proper management. According to the findings, it is suggested that for the presence of women, a special place with suitable working hours should be considered.
