Predictors of early seizures in a patient with traumatic brain injury

چکیده
In this study, which is a descriptive cross-sectional study. Multiple trauma patients who enter the emergency room of Imam Reza (AS) Hospital are included in the study. The patient's patient's companion has a history of the type of accident and a history of the disease, including seizures. Then, in the patient's examinations, the examinations governing the patient's neurological examinations are noted. Then, in case of seizures, the patient is followed up from the time of the accident until one week later. Results: In this study, 2801 people with head trauma were included in the study. 2207 patients had GCS equal to 15 and 594 patients had GCS below 15. The incidence of seizures following seizures under the age of 18 was 20.5%, ie 162 out of 789 people had seizures. This number was 21.5% for adults, ie 433 people had seizures since 2012. Of these patients, 2206 were discharged from the emergency room. 182 people were admitted to the intensive care unit and 283 people were hospitalized and 130 patients died in the emergency department or in the first 24 hours of hospitalization. In examining the relationship between the findings, there was a significant and strong relationship between imaging findings and patients' GCS. There was a significant and strong relationship between imaging findings and patient outcome. There was a significant and weak relationship between imaging findings and length of hospital stay. There was a significant and strong relationship between imaging findings and post-traumatic seizures in patients. There was a significant and strong relationship between post-traumatic seizures and patient outcome.
