Comparison of diagnostic value of the molecular, serology and COVID-19 specific T lymphocyte evaluation results in kidney transplant patients
Abstract
During the COVID19 pandemic, investigation of immune system response to SARS-Corona virus 2(SARS-CoV2) in receivers of organ transplantation plays an important role in our attitude toward disease management in this group. Thus, in this study we compare humoral and cellular immune response in kidney transplant patients.
Methods: In total 78 kidney transplant recipients at Imam Reza hospital in Tabriz, Iran were entered the study. Patients reverse transcriptase polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) results were compared with virus specific IgM/IgG and TCD8+ responses that were evaluated by ELISA and pMHCI-tet assays, respectively.
Results: Among the total 32 patients with covid-19 disease, 29 people had a positive MHCI-Tetramer test, 7 of them were positive for both IgM and IgG antibodies, and therefore the total number of patients who were positive for MHCI-Tetramer And in terms of at least one of the antibodies against Covid-19, there were 16 cases.
