Abstract
SHD is an adaptive and extensive surgical procedure that can treat all pathologies inside and outside the hip joint. In this method, the experience and efficiency of the surgeon in performing surgery can reduce serious complications and improve patient outcomes. It is recommended that surgeons become familiar with the complications and consequences of patients undergoing this surgical procedure in complex diseases such as SCFE and Perthes. Therefore, this study aimed to determine the treatment outcomes of Hip Surgical Dislocation in patients admitted to Shohada Hospital from 2018 to 2021. Materials and Methods: In this cross-sectional study of clinical records of 60 patients with surgical indications, including hip dislocations such as hip dislocations and femoral and acetabular fractures, and radiographic evidence of osseous or soft tissue deformity consistent with clinical examination results from 2018 to 2021 and have been subjected to SHD were examined, and patients were followed for 12 months (follow-up of 3 months, 6 months, and 12 months). Results: The mean age of patients was 38.29±7.12 years with a mean of 39.50 years. The minimum age of patients was 23 years, and the maximum was 49 years, And 65% of patients were male. In the evaluation of the outcome of the patients, no case of patient death or irreversible complication was observed. The most common cause of surgery was fracture and dislocaction (81.7%). Seventeen surgical complications were observed, the most common complication being heterotopic ossification. Significantly flexion (96.7, 100.9, 105.5, and 108.7; respectively) and int. rotation (18.5, 23.3, 34.5, and 38.7; respectively) improved after 3, 6, and 12-month follow-ups.
