The effect of DASH-based weight loss diet on Pro-Oxidant Antioxidant Balance (PAB), lipid profiles, liver fibrosis score, appetite and quality of life in patients with non-alcoholic fatty liver disease: A randomized controlled clinical trial

changes in energy intake and physical activity. However, there was not any difference in PAB, appetite status, HDL-c and liver fibrosis score level between the groups.
Conclusion: Adherence to Weight loss diet based on DASH compared to calorie restricted diet for 8 weeks appears to be more effective in improving Lipid profile except HDL-C, liver steatosis and quality of life than calorie restricted diet.
