Abstract
Since the December 2019, the corona virus crisis has affected almost all aspects of human life. There are various symptoms of this virus. These symptoms were initially related to respiratory involvement, but gradually the presence of gastrointestinal symptoms along with respiratory symptoms were considered by physicians and researchers as diagnostic criteria for coronavirus infection. The aim of this study was to investigate the risk factors of mortality in deceased patients with COVID-19 in Tabriz so that by better identifying them and preventing and treating these risk factors, we can reduce the mortality rate in patients with COVID-19. Methods: In this cross-sectional study that was conducted during the spring and summer of 2021 in the infectious wards of Imam Reza Hospital and Sina Hospital affiliated to Tabriz University of Medical Sciences, after obtaining the code of ethics from the ethics committee and the necessary permits to extract case information We addressed the need using the data in the records of patients who died of coronavirus. The collected data were statistically analyzed using pre-designed checklists. Data analysis was performed using SPSS-22 software and in all of them P-value less than 0.05 was considered significant. Results: In this cross-sectional study, the information contained in the files of 102 patients who died of COVID-19 in the infectious wards of Imam Reza (AS) Hospital was reviewed and analyzed. The mean age of patients in this study was 69.82 years, of which 62.74% were male and the rest were female. In this study, data analysis showed that the association of various diseases such as hypertension, hyperlipidemia, diabetes, CVA, CAD, kidney disease, rheumatic disease, asthma and COPD with the risk of death due to Covid-19 is quite significant. The blood type of the deceased also showed a higher frequency of blood type A than the others. Evaluation of arterial blood saturation levels of the deceased upon arrival at the hospital showed that most of these people had sachovation above 85%, of which the most sachovision 88% had the highest frequency compared to the others.
