Abstract
Mindfulness and resilience are two important factors in determining the quality of life of individuals, including medical students. The aim of this study was to evaluate the level of mindfulness and resilience based on the Freiburg and Samuels questionnaires and to determine the relationship between these factors and the demographic characteristics of these students.
Method: In order to collect data, Samuels Academic Resilience Questionnaire and Freiburg Mindfulness Questionnaire were used. Thus, 300 series of Samuels and Freiburg questionnaires are prepared in print and online and are available to medical students of Tabriz University of Medical Sciences who were admitted to medical school in 2021.
Results; The mean score of the mindfulness questionnaire among all students was 35 and the mean score of the academic resilience questionnaire among all students was 88. No significant difference was found in the score of the Mindfulness Questionnaire between any of the groups of students in terms of demographic characteristics. However, the mean score of the student resilience questionnaire was significantly higher among girls than male students.
