Evaluation of risk factors affecting Intra ocular inflammation after cataract surgery in patients with uveitis in Tabriz Nikukari hospital

Abstract

Introduction: Uveitis refers to inflammation of the uvea (middle vascular covering of the eye) and is one of the most important causes of blindness or decreased vision in society. Cataract is one of the most common complications in patients with uveitis and is the main cause of reversible blindness in these patients. On the other hand, the risk factors involved in the recurrence of inflammation and postoperative complications are not well understood, and both of them are related to the outcome of patients' vision. In addition, the etiologies of uveitis and statistical data in this regard are very scattered among different races. Various studies have finally examined patients undergoing cataract surgery in the Asian population with uveitis. Therefore, the aim of this study was to investigate the risk factors affecting the rate of intraocular inflammation following cataract surgery in uveitis patients of Tabriz Nikoukari hospital. A case study of patients with uveitis undergoing cataract surgery in terms of risk factors affecting the rate of intraocular inflammation following cataract surgery in uveitis patients who referred to Tabriz Charity Hospital. All the factors affecting the patients 'vision were extracted from the patients' files and recorded in the table of variables.
