چکیده
breast cancer (BC) is the most common and deadly cancer among women and the second leading cause of death in women worldwide. Early detection is the most important factor in reducing the death rate of this disease. Despite many studies, due to high heterogeneity, there are still many complications in the diagnosis and treatment of this cancer. lncRNAs are an important group of non-coding RNAs that have received special attention in recent years for their association with cancer. Research shows that these molecules can be valuable biomarkers for early detection and prognosis of cancers, including breast cancer. In addition, they can be used as therapeutic targets for cancer treatment. This study is aimed to evaluate the expression of TUG1 lncRNA and MALAT1 lncRNA in tumor tissue and tumor margins of breast cancer patients. Methods: Bioinformatics studies and reviewing previous studies demonstrated that TUG1 and MALAT1 are lncRNAs that may be associated with breast cancer. The expression of these two genes was measured using Realtime PCR And was evaluated by statistical analysis. The association between the expression of these genes and the biological characteristics of patients was also investigated. Results: Realtime PCR results indicate that both genes show a significant increase in expression in tumor tissue relative to tumor margins. (TUG1 foldchange= 4.159586, p-value= 0.0084, MALAT1 foldchange= 3.850912, p-value= 0.0121) However, no significant relationship was found between these lncRNAs and patients' biological characteristics such as cancer history and history of abortion.
