چکیده
Introduction: Aspirin is an analgesic, antipyretic and anti-inflammatory drug. Overdose may cause symptoms such as pain, diplopia, hallucinations, anxiety, Reye's syndrome, abdominal pain, and seizures in children. Due to the side effects of aspirin overdose, it is important to measure the amount of drug in the biological samples of the people taking it. Aim of study: A rapid method based on a redox reaction catalyzed by nanoparticles was validated for the analysis of aspirin in exhaled breath condensate (EBC). Detection mechanism of aspirin using this system is based on the inhibitory effect of aspirin on the signal intensity of the colorimetric systems. Since the decrement in signal intensity is proportional to aspirin level, a colorimetric method is proposed for its quantification in EBC samples. Materials and Methods: The study is an experimental science study. The standard aspirin solution at a concentration of 1000 mg / l was prepared by dissolving the appropriate amount of this drug in methanol daily. In the study, it is expected that based on the effect of aspirin inhibition on the signal intensity of the color system, the concentration Measure aspirin. Results: This method shows a linear relationship with the concentration of aspirin in the range of 10-250 mg / l with a relative standard deviation of less than 3.5%. The current method is used to quantify aspirin in people taking aspirin. Discussion: This study recently introduced aspirin analysis in an EBC sample as a new biological sample. The proposed method shows good application for aspirin analysis due to its high reliability and fast response time. In addition, a method designed to measure the concentration of this drug in the exhaled sample of patients taking aspirin was used.
