Investigation of the frequency of Hyponatremia and its relation with early outcome in heart failure hospitalized patient

In patients with chronic heart failure, sodium imbalance disorders renal dysfunction is common. The aim of this study was to evaluate the frequency of hyponatremia and its relationship with premature events in hospitalized patients with heart failure.
Methods and Materials: This study was a descriptive-analytical study and the study population included all hospitalized patients with a diagnosis of heart failure and 330 patients who met the inclusion criteria were selected by census method from 1398 to 1399. Patients were then divided into normal and hyponatremic groups and compared. Data were analyzed by descriptive and analytical statistics.
Results: Patients were divided into two groups of hyponatremia (n = 103) and normal (n = 227) and were compared. Between the age of patients with heart failure and mortality (P <0.001) and between male patients with heart failure and mortality (P <0.001) and between hyponatremia and nosocomial mortality - one month - six months (P <0.001), between hyponatremia And GFR (P <0.001), between dose of diuretic (ferrosemide) and hyponatremia (P = 0.035), between hyponatremia and non-electrified hospitalization within 30 days after discharge (P <0.001), between hyponatremia and length of hospital stay (P = 0.008) There is a significant relationship. There was no significant relationship between hyponatremia and increased heart failure class (P = 0.094).
