چکیده
Introduction: Alzheimer's (AD) is a progressive neurodegenerative disorder of the brain. Characteristics of this disease include decreased memory and cognitive function due to dysfunction of the cholinergic nervous system. Various cholinergic drugs have been approved for the treatment or relief of Alzheimer's that exert their therapeutic effect by counteracting acetylcholine deficiency (ACh) in the brain, including acetylcholinesterase (AChE) inhibitors such as donpezil, galantamine, and rivastigmine Which temporarily increase the amount of acetylcholine in cholinergic synapses. Objective: In this study, the aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of enalapril on hyoscine-induced memory impairment in male rats by passive avoidance test. Methods: 30 male Wistar rats were randomly divided into 5 groups of 6 (control, normal saline recipient, hyoscine recipient, enalapril 0.5 mg / kg, enalapril 1 mg / kg, enalapril 2 mg / kg) Were. To induce forgetfulness (Alzheimer's) in the studied animals, hyoscine ampoules were used as intraperitoneal injection at a dose of 0.5 mg per kg for 5 days. All groups were tested and compared in a shuttle box after 5 days by passive avoidance method. Results: The data obtained from the passive avoidance test in the shuttle box in animals of hyoscine treated groups showed that enalapril consumption significantly improved memory and learning parameters in diabetic male rats (p <0 / 05)..Conclusion: The results showed that enalapril dose-dependently improved memory impairment, which is probably due to its effects on oxidative stress, inflammatory factors and control of hyoscine-induced complications in animals.
