Cultural Competence and its Relationship with Job Satisfaction and Job Stress in Nurses of Educational Hospitals of Tabriz University of Medical Sciences , 2019.

Abstract
Cultural competence and its relationship with job satisfaction and job stress in nurses of Educational hospitals of Tabriz University of Medical Sciences , 2019. Abstract: Introduction & Objective: Cultural diversity of use is one of the issues that nurses are exposed to in clinical settings. They have this cultural competence. It is required to communicate too much with increasing and increasing the level of health. Improving employee performance and service quality are among the important importance of managers in the organization. Nurses' cultural competence and job satisfaction are important factors in ensuring the quality of services, and job stress is one of the effective factors in causing physical and psychological complications in nurses, which is related to cultural value; Therefore, this study was conducted to investigate cultural competence and its relationship with job satisfaction and stress of nurses working in educational and medical centers of Tabriz University of Medical Sciences. Methods: In this study, 285 nurses working in educational and medical centers of Tabriz were selected using stratified random sampling. The main tools for collecting information from four parts: demographic characteristics questionnaire, cultural competence questionnaire (nursing cultural competency scale), job satisfaction questionnaire (job satisfaction questionnaire) and job stress questionnaire (health and safety executive), creation and data Requirements were analyzed using SPSS software version 25 with the help of descriptive statistics including frequency, mean and standard deviation and analytical statistics including Pearson correlation tests, independent t-test and analysis of variance. Findings: Findings of the study showed that the level of cultural competence in nurses is moderate (54.50 ± 9.3) and has a positive correlation with work experience (p = 0.04) and self-level of cultural competence score. Nurses' job satisfaction is also at an average level (115.63 ± 16.70) and has marital status (p <0.001), organizational position (p = 0.002), income level (p = 0.001) and type of hospital. Communication is meaningful. Nurses' job stress was also reported at a high level (69.30 ± 13.43) which had a significant relationship with gender (p <0.001). The results of the present study showed that there is no significant relationship between cultural competence and job satisfaction and there is a negative and significant relationship between cultural competence with job stress and stress with job satisfaction. Conclusion: The level of cultural competence of nurses in this study was reported at a moderate level. Therefore, considering the importance of culture in health and social relations, a planning program is necessary to promote the cultural competence of nurses. Job satisfaction and job stress are due to the impact of changes in the cultural value of nurses, which need to be further investigated in the field of specific activities and pave the way for more attention to the cultural value of nurses. Therefore, planning to reduce the stressful job impact of nurses and increase the level of cultural value of individuals by measuring the levels of these components and achieving the dimensions of job satisfaction at the level of trust, performance and productivity and the role of the organization is important.
