Needs, Response to Needs, and its related Satisfaction of premature infants Mothers in Neonatal Intensive Care Units of Tabriz al-Zahra hospital, 2020
Abstract: The overall purpose of this study was to determine the needs, response to needs and satisfaction with the response of mothers of premature infants admitted to the neonatal wards of Alzahra Hospital in Tabriz affiliated to the University of Medical Sciences in 1400. Considering the importance of family-centered care in the care of infants, a focused study of maternal needs and measuring their satisfaction with the extent to which their needs are met is essential and is one of the main pillars of family-centered care. Also, considering that there is a lot of emphasis on observing NIDCAP in Al-Zahra Center, it seems that mothers have different needs and expectations in this center.
In this study, first the eligible mothers were selected and the NFNI questionnaire was distributed among them to complete. Data related to mothers' needs, response to needs and satisfaction with the answers given to them were collected in the form of a questionnaire containing three sections and entered into SPSS software. Each questionnaire contained 56 questions and included five areas of support needs (18 questions), comfort needs (7 questions), information needs (11 questions), closeness to the baby (8 questions) and confidence (12 questions).
