Evaluation of X-ray imaging techniques used by staff of Tabriz’ Imam Reza hospital during the years 2016 to 2020
Abstract
This cross-sectional descriptive study investigates the use of X-ray imaging modalities by the staff of Imam Reza Hospital in Tabriz between April 2006 and March 2020. In this study, the target population are all staff of Imam Reza Hospital will include all employees and staff of Imam Reza Hospital. All hospital staff who have referred to the radiology department at least once for X-ray imaging (plain X-rays, CT scans, etc.) will be included in the study during this period. Individuals whose type or number of modalities or dates are not known will be excluded from the study.
Methodology: In this study, data related to the history of imaging performed in the desired period by hospital staff are extracted from the radiology center of this hospital. The data are categorized into Microsoft Office Excel 2020 software. SPSS.20 software is used for data analysis.
Result: In this study, out of 1816 hospital staff, 952 people have used various X-ray imaging methods at least once. The highest rate of use was related to the occupational health category with 734 people, followed by the service category with 168 people. In this study, imaging methods have been used 3166 times in 5 years. CT scans with 1279 cases and various types of graphics have been used 1887 times.
The year 2020 with 1195 cases of total methods and 769 cases of various types of CT scans compared to other years with a significant leap in the use of imaging methods.
