Evaluation of Diagnostic value of Neutrophil to Lymphocyte Ratio and Platelet to Lymphocyte Ratio in Determining The Severity of Pancreatitis in patients with With Acute Pancreatitis
Abstract
Acute pancreatitis is a common disease that function of pancreas has impaired and acinar damage and local inflammation that is happened acutely and has a wide range from self controlled to sever systemic cases that results to death.
Now a days BISAP scoring system is used for prognosiss and severity of acute pancreatitis but it can be accessed only after 24 hours of hospitalization of the patient so it is not possible results to be achieved fast and so there isn’t possibility for urgent interventions for patients and a new fast method is so important for sever and critical cases of disease to evaluate the prognosis and severity of disease in first hours to increase the mortality and morbidity of patients.we intended to use inflammatory factors of blood samples like the Neutrophil to lymphocyte ratio and Platelet to Lymphocyte ratio to achieve the fast and accurate prognosis of severity of disease.
Goals
The main purpose of this study is evaluating of of diagnostic value of Neutrophile to Lymphocyte ratio and Platelet to lymphocyte ratio in determining the severity of pancreatitis in patients with acute pancreatitis and specific goals are affirming of diagnostic value of Neutrophil to lymphocyte ratio in patients with acute pancreatitis considering of BISAP score and diagnostic value of and platelet to lymphocyte ratio ratio in patients with acute pancreatitis considering of BISAP score.
Materials and methods
In this study witch is designed as a cross sectional totally 98 persons that have a confirmed acute pancreatitis with the ethiology of biliary stone and have been admitted to Imam Reza hospital in less than 72 hours are selected and blood samples achieved and BISAP score calculated and comparisoned with each other.
Results
In assessment and processing the data of study and eliminating of conflicting factors we saw that by increasing the ratio of Neutrophil to and Platelet to lymphocyte ratio the BISAP score also increases
