Evaluation of the effect of transhexamic acid in the control of mild hemoptysis in the emergency department
Abstract
The goal of this review was to see how nebulized tranexamic acid affected hemoptysis control.
Method: We searched the Cochrane Library, PubMed, and Scopus databases for relevant article. this review followed the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) criteria.
Results: We obtained 328 articles, three of which examined the effect of nebulized tranexamic acid on hemoptysis. Variable dosages of the TXA were studied in the articles obtained. Following this dose disparity, the duration of the drug's effectiveness and the achievement of the desired result were found to be considerably different in the study. The use of nebulized tranexamic acid in the treatment of hemoptysis was shown to be effective in all cases.
