Evaluation of exosomes biogenesis in lung tissue of type 2 diabetic male rats
Abstract
Considering the inflammatory entity of diabetic condition, this study was conducted to investigate the effect of type 2 diabetes on the biogenesis of exosomes in the lung tissue of male rats.
Methods: Twenty male rats were randomly divided into two groups; Control and Diabetic groups. After induction of type 2 diabetes, the expression of IL-1β in BALF, pathological injureis was studied. Besides, exosme biogenesis were evaluated by measuring acetylcholinesterase activity in BALF as well as CD63 protein levels in lung tissue using western blotting.
Results: Elevation of pathological changesin lung issue, expression level of IL-1β and acetylcholinesterase activity in BAL fluid were showed in this study in diabetic group compared to the control group (P<0.01 to P<0.001). Furthermore, data demonstrated that protein levels of CD63 were increased in lung tissue of diabetic group compared to the control group (p<0.05).
