Evaluation of factors related to maternal anxiety during pregnancy among women referred to Tabriz Primary care centers
Abstract
Pregnancy anxiety is sometimes seen as a natural mechanism to deal with a mother's mental concern about having a baby, if the mother prepares you for pregnancy and is with you, but take care and worry if your illness develops. Gives and therefore should if the mother's mental health is affected. Anxiety during pregnancy and postpartum are both associated with adverse effects on maternal and child health. The aim of this study was to investigate the factors associated with prenatal anxiety in women referred to Tabriz health centers.
Materials and Methods:
The present study is a descriptive-analytical study in which the target group of 532 pregnant women referred to health centers in Tabriz who are at least 6 weeks pregnant and were selected by cluster random sampling. Factors related to pregnancy anxiety in 6 areas: psychological and psychiatric factors, factors related to social support and marital relationship, social, demographic and economic factors, factors related to received stress and life accidents, factors related to pregnancy and midwifery and factors Is a personality. In order to investigate the factors related to pregnancy anxiety in women referring to health centers in Tabriz in the year 2018-2019.
Results:
In the present study, 37.5% of mothers were anxious. Most of the women studied were between 21-30 years old. The highest level of education in pregnant mothers and spouses was at the diploma level. No relationship was found between education level, age of pregnant mother, age of spouse, level of education of spouse, week of pregnancy, severe pregnancy vomiting, history of syphilis, history of AIDS, history of preeclampsia, etc. and the presence of anxiety.
