Today with the development of technology and the improvement of technology and the improvement of living standards as well as the increasing number of environmental issues in cities the focus on providing heaith safety and environment in urban ereas has become more tangible and mandatory. This study was to investigate the important HSE indicators among the employees working in the waste management department of urmia municipality in order to provide solutions to improve the current situation. The statistical population of the study was all emoloyees of the collection, transportation and final disposal of waste in the four areas (1, 2, 3, 4) of urmia municipality employed in the second of 1397. 200 people were selected as the sample size of the study and sampling was done randomly so that 50 people were selected from each region. A summary of the data collection method showed that use of personal protective equipment as well as some HSE indicators among the employees of urmia municipality do not have favorable conditions. About 25% do not were proper work clothes, 37% do not wear good safety shoes, 55.5% do not wear proper work gloves, 35.5% do not wear helmets and 25% do not wear proper protective masks. Alos, the rate of dissatisfaction with psychological problems, unsafe practices at work and enviromental effects are about 66.4%, 62% and 45.3% respectively. The results of the study showed that the lack or use of personal protective equipment and psychological problems as well as unsafe practices at work among the workers are more evident than other issues and require basic measures in this regard.
