Evaluation of knowledge and attitude of emergency medicine specialists about thrombolytic therapy in ischemic stroke
Abstract
Stroke is considered as a serious health crisis in the community. Stroke is the second leading cause of death in the world and is an important cause of chronic disability. Primary prevention is considered as an important way to reduce the prevalence, recurrence, disability and mortality of stroke. the aim of this study to evaluate the knowledge of emergency specialists about stroke’s symptoms, risk factors and treatments.
MATERIAL AND METHOD:
This cross-sectional study was done on 30 people of emergency specialists who are working in Tabriz hospital with observation sampling. they evaluated for stroke awareness by a designed questionnaire and in person interview. After compiliting The forms, the forms were collected and then entered in statistic system SPSS 24.0 software and analyzed .
RESULT:
30 partcipant were enrolled to our study ,12 (40%)specialists were male and 18(60%) one were female.from 10 sign of stroke,specialists can detect atleast 2 and atmost 8.about risk factors most of the participants can repost 6 factors and only one can repost all of eleven factors.17 of participants were choosed EMS call event time but 12 participants were choosed both of EMS and personal transfer.
