چکیده
The aim of the present study was to evaluate of serum concentrations of connexin-37 and stromelysin-1 as the main biomarkers for coronary artery disease (CAD) and their correlation with extent of CAD. Methods: Serum concentrations of connexin-37 and stromelysin-1 were determined in 80 patients with coronary heart disease comprised of 20 subjects with no vessel disease, 20 subjects with single vessel disease, 20 subjects with double vessel disease, and 20 subjects with triple vessel disease matched control healthy 20 subjects. serum concentrations of connexin-37 and stromelysin-1 determined used to (ELISA) procedure. Results: Serum connexin-37 concentration was not significant between patient and control group but was significant between patient groups. Serum stromelysin-1 concentration in patients was significantly more than in control group. Serum cholesterol, triglycerides, LDL levels were significantly increased in the patient group compared to the control group but serum HDL-C levels in the patient group were significantly reduced.
