Abstract
Women are the main axis of family health and in addition to managing the health of family members, they are the main model of education and promotion of a healthy lifestyle to the next generation. Given that health education is one of the most important ways to empower people and the first step in education is to recognize and analyze the knowledge and attitude of people, and on the other hand, a positive attitude of women about menopause can improve their quality of life, On the other hand, considering that no study has been done in this regard so far, we decided to study the attitude and knowledge of women about menopausal health in Tabriz University of Medical Sciences in this study.
Materials and Methods:
The present study is cross-sectional-analytical. The statistical population of the study is women in the age range of 60-45 years in the city of Ahrat under the coverage of health centers and sampling of women in the age range of 45-60 years was randomly through the apple system of health centers covered by the city of Ahar and the volume The sample is 242 people. Both parts of the questionnaire knowledge and attitude, both descriptively (providing frequency and percentage of answers) and analytically (considering the score for each question and comparing the average scores to examine the relationship with education, income and other factors mentioned in the objectives section) Checked out.
Results:
In this study, 242 people were studied. The mean age of the women surveyed was 54.05±4.59. 94.6% of women were married and only 0.4% were single and widowed. 55% of women had primary or illiterate education, 16.5% were in middle school and high school. 19% were women with bachelor's and master's degrees and 8.3% had a bachelor's degree. Only 2.5 percent of women owned a rented house, the rest had a private home. In this study, the rate of women's attitude was 7.84±1.79 and the level of women's awareness was17.92±2.22, which indicates the average attitude and good awareness of women.
