Abstract
Abstract
Background and Purpose: Considering the importance of internship in the acquisition of administrative and financial skills and its proper evaluation in order to ensure the acquisition of the necessary skills, this study aimed to provide a general framework for evaluating each of the internship skills.
Methods: This study is a multi-method analysis study including review of the scope and descriptive-cross sectional study conducted in 2016. To identify the evaluation methods and their strengths and weaknesses, they searched for the texts of Persian databases SID and Magiran. Using their results, a questionnaire was developed for determining the appropriate evaluation methods for each of the skills, and after verifying the content and formal validity, for Data collection was sent through Google Form to the e-mails of experts and process owners who were selected through targeted sampling.
Results: In reviewing the literature, 6 general methods for evaluating students were identified: 1- Evaluation by simulated tests 2- Practical test by direct observation of skills by evaluator 3- Presentation of written documents 4- Evaluation by different evaluators 5- Evaluation by computer 6. Evaluate by written and verbal questions. A total of 53 people participated in the study, which showed that the participants considered first-hand practical skills to be more skilled than other methods of testing, then using simulated and software tests, and finally, scenario-based and error-correction testing . Among the evaluation methods of any skill, the portfolio achieved the lowest score in all skills.
Conclution: The assessment of internship 3 skills should be done through direct observation of practical skills in the real or simulated environment. Using scenario-based tests, if the practical test is not possible, is the most appropriate option for skill assessment. Software skills must be taught to students in practical way. Portfolio is copyrighted and completion of it at the end of the semester does not affect students' learning.
